Over the past number of weeks fourth, fifth and sixth classes have been attending Active Youth Classes with Kayleigh Cronin. The six-week programme focused on basic foundation movement including squats, lunge, jumping and landing. Throughout the course there was a focus on the technique’s required to perform the movements safely, through game-based activities.

The pupils also attended a Nutrition seminar which focused on nutrition, diet, portion sizes, hydration and lifestyle.

Everyone who participated has a brilliant experience and really enjoyed the sessions. Many thanks to Kayleigh Cronin and Activate Gym.

The football league concluded in Spa last week. For the past four weeks the boys have played group games after school, all in the hope of claiming the Tadgh O'Sullivan memorial shield. Some great football was played during the league and well done to everyone who took part.

The former Kerry footballer Kieran O'Leary was there on the day of the final and spoke to the boys about his time playing with Kerry.
